Product Engineer Intern

Turn our onboard computing hardware into well-specified, well-documented products, working across requirements, documentation, and customer integration.

About the position

We are looking for a Product Engineer Intern to help turn our onboard computing hardware into well-defined, well-documented products that customers can integrate with confidence. This role sits between engineering and the customer: it is about making sure what we build is specified, traceable, and explainable.

In this role, you will work on product definition and system-level requirements across our Data Processing Unit product line. You will help write and maintain requirement sets and interface control documents, produce datasheets and user manuals, keep the technical documentation consistent with what the hardware and software teams actually build, and support integration questions coming from customers and mission partners. You will also contribute to comparing our products against the market and to shaping how the next variants should be defined.

This internship offers a system-level view of a space product: how requirements are written, how they flow down into hardware and software design, how they are verified, and how the result is communicated to the people who will fly it.

Required skills

  • Final-year or gap-year student in aerospace, systems, electrical, or computer engineering, or related field
  • Solid engineering fundamentals with an interest in system-level thinking rather than a single subsystem
  • Ability to write clearly and precisely in English; French is a plus
  • Understanding of requirements engineering, traceability, and verification concepts
  • Comfortable reading electronic schematics, block diagrams, and software interface definitions
  • Familiarity with space standards (ECSS, or similar) is a plus, but not required
  • Organised, autonomous, and comfortable chasing down answers across several teams
  • Interest in the commercial side of a technical product: positioning, customer needs, competitive landscape
